On my trip to Disneyland, there was a slight feeling of the Griswalds visit to Wally World in National Lampoons Vacation. Several rides were closed for maintance, including two of our family favorites, Its a small world and Pirates of the Caribean.
Though they lack some of the space and attractions of their Florida cousins, the Disney and Universal in California still have much to recommend them- especially if you don´t want theme parks to totally dominate your vacation.

| The Housewives also get in on the act. |
Universal Studios is a little light on rides, but a new Transformers ride next year should improve things. I love the place. Where else can you see a show inspired by Waterword!

Disney have two parks here, the original 1955 Disneyland, and the less than successful Californian aventure- which is getting a one billion dollar upgrade just 10 years after it opened.
