its the little differences: universally awesome

I hadn't originally intended to spend nine days in the Orlando parks, but as a result of some some crazy ticket deals I got a few free days and it seemed a shame to waste them. Lets start at Universal.

The resort has two theme parks.

It has a Simpsons ride, identical to the one in Hollywood.

Again like Hollywood, It also has a Mummy ride...

and a Jurassic Park ride. Oddly both are rather better in the smaller Hollywood park.

but what is that on the right?

The wizarding world of harry potter!

one of the best rides ever. simply awesome.

this tastes amazing- go for the frozen version.

normally forbidden journey can take up to 90 mins, but this was a quiet day!

the attention to detail is awesome.

This is currently the only place in the world to have the wizarding world, but it will be in Hollywood by 2015. The Florida version will soon be greatly expanded too. Potter is located in Universal's Island of Adventure park, which is also the east coast home to...

potter world is so awesome, its easy to overlook how gorgeous looking this bit of the park is.

it has a visitors center, just like the one in the movie.

The park is also the current home of...

Marvel is now owned by Disney, so this bit of the park may soon be changed. In the meantime it has some awesome rides.

with the awesome Hulk coaster. it is super fast!

Next door to the Islands of Adventure, is the original Universal Studios park. Rather overshadowed by its big neighbor, its is currently one of the nicest chilled out theme parks you will ever find.

I did say it was currently a chilled out park. This may well soon change, because the parks classic Jaws ride will close in January; and it is rumored to be being replaced with a second world of Harry Potter. Largelly based on the London locations of the books.
